Things to see and do; this area provides an excellent
base to explore ancient archaeological sites as
well as the usual tourist attractions e.g. shops,
bars, water parks, etc. An hour's drive takes
you to the Troodos mountains where there is a
wealth of beautiful scenery. A trip to the famous
monastery is a must. The Akamas is a conservation
area where at certain times the sea turtles come
and lay their eggs at
Lara
Beach. In this area there are many nature trails
to explore. Off-roading in 4 wheel drive vehicles is very
popular also. Not far from Coral Bay is the tiny
fishing
harbour of Agios Georgios where you will
see fascinating sea caves. The fish tavernas
here
are particularly popular. Aphrodite's Rock
and Pissouri are worth visiting. Mini cruises
to
Egypt and the Pyramids are available with
ships leaving from Limassol.
Eating out in Cyprus is very reasonable with a
variety of restaurants and tavernas to
suit all
tastes and pockets.
There
are 3 golf courses within a short drive at Tsada,
Secret Valley and the new 5
star course
at Aphrodite Hills. Tsada Golf Club is 20 minutes
away from Paphos. (25 minutes from the house). 18
hole course on an elevated position 550 meters
above
sea level. It plays to a par 72 and measures
6060 meters. The Secret Valley Golf Club
is located
18 km east of Paphos (30 minute drive away from
the house). It lies in a scenic valley with grand
trees adding to the new course’s maturity
and the beautiful scalped natural rock formations
offer panoramic views to the golfer. It plays to
a par 72 and measures 6120 meters. Aphrodite Hills
Golf is also 30km away from the house.
Advisory Notes:
A hire car is recommended to get the most from your
stay at The Tree House.
Suitability: The villa is built on the hill side
above Peyia - hence the lovely views down to the
coast - but this does mean that there are lot
of steps! As a result the villa is only suitable for
able bodied people. The stairs and pool are gated
making the villa child friendly. Pets are not allowed,
no wheelchair access.
